In 1967 Bradford Marine hauled its first Mega-Yacht, the 130-feet Fontainebleu II. |
The yard is the world's largest undercover yacht repair facility. The covered slips can handle vessels up to 180 feet LOA and 45 feet in height. The total of 11,000 linear feet of slips and service bays means that no matter the weather, Bradford can always deliver its repairs on time, as well as provide long term covered storage.
In the mid-1990's Bradford's management realized that it would have to upgrade its facilities to accommodate the fast growing luxury Mega-Yacht fleet. In order to maintain its reputation as the premier yacht refit and repair company, Bradford took the big step of opening a new satellite facility in the Bahamas. This new deep water yard offers all the services that can be found at Bradford Marine Fort Lauderdale, and uses a 1,200 ton floating dry dock to haul out vessels up to 230 feet, with no overhead restrictions. For smaller projects the yard has also a 150 ton TraveLift. The company also plans to develop 20 acres of its land to build individual Mega-Yacht shelters to accommodate yachts up to 420 feet in length. It will include working and storage space as well as overnight crew accommodations. Inquires are invited.
With over 40 years of experience, Bradford Marine will keep on making history!
