Bradford Marine History Founded in 1967, Bradford Marine made the first of many farsighted choices when it opted to install a 300 ton Synchrolift. At the time, the machinery was considered to be far larger than business demanded. Starting with the 130' Fontainebleau II in 1967, the yard has since hauled out thousands of the world's finest yachts. In the mid-1990's, Bradford Marine's management realized that it would have to expand its facilities to accommodate the fast-growing luxury megayacht fleet. In order to maintain its reputation as the premier yacht refit and repair company, Bradford Marine took the big step of opening a new satellite facility in the Bahamas, Bradford Marine Bahamas. This new deep water shipyard provides all the services that can be found at Bradford Marine Fort Lauderdale, and uses a 1,200 ton floating dry dock to haul out vessels up to 230 feet, with no overhead restrictions. For smaller projects, the shipyard has also a 150 ton TraveLift. Bradford Marine Bahamas also plans to develop 20 acres of its land to build individual megayacht shelters to accommodate yachts up to 420 feet in length. It will include working and storage space as well. Inquiries are invited. |
