I would like to introduce you to the 1st edition of the Bradford Marine E-News letter. I’ve been in the marine industry for over 30 years. 28 of those years were on 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale, but I started my career first right here at Bradford Marine when my uncle, Jimmie Smallwood, then - President of Bradford Marine, offered me the job of Dockmaster.
Over the years, I’ve made a lot of friends in the industry. It is important to me to stay in contact with you all, and I thought this E-News would be helpful. My hope is to share some news about the happenings going on at Bradford Marine here in Ft. Lauderdale and at Bradford Marine Bahamas, plus any additional information you may want to share with me from around the industry. I’ve been in customer service my whole career, and I look forward to continuing to work with you and taking care of your needs as always.
Since returning from the Monaco Yacht Show and the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show, I’ve had the chance to speak with many captains, brokers and yacht managers. There are positive signs of recovery out there. Despite the challenging times, people are looking to purchase yachts and sales contracts are being written. I’m looking forward to an exciting year ahead! I believe that it’s going to be good for all of us.
My intent is for this E-News to be interactive. No it’s not a blog, but please feel free to reply to these newsletters and let me know where you are and what you are doing.
I’ll be making a trip to St Maarten in the middle of January to visit some of you. If you’re going to be in the area, please e-mail me and let me know. I’d like the opportunity to see you while I’m there.
Here are a few posts I hope you’ll find interesting. I’ll do my best at being brief and strive to provide something worth a quick read. Thanks for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best Wishes for a Safe and Happy Holiday,
Jimmy Floyd
