It is with great satisfaction and relief that we announce that Bradford Marine's 40 foot container of donated goods was picked up and shipped to St. Marc, Haiti. Our efforts included donations from Bradford Marine employees, Timoun Lakay Foundation, The Saks Group, Freedom Waters Foundation, FAU, and so many others within our industry and across South Florida as well as joint efforts with the Florida Yacht Brokers Association. Included in the donations are as follows:
- Canned goods, flour, dried food
- Bottled water, Gatorade, etc.
- Baby items, such as: bottles, formula, diapers, wipes,
cereal, baby food, baby aspirin, etc.
- First aid and personal hygiene items, such as: splints/
ace bandages, bandages, antibiotics, pain killers,
crutches, wheel chairs, peroxide, rubbing alcohol,
soap, shampoo, etc.
- Gently-used, men, women, children and infant clothing,
bedding, blankets, towels, etc.
- Flashlights, radios, batteries, generators, tarps, tents,
cots/beds, tools, duct tape, matches, disinfectants,
buckets, shovels, etc.
- Crates of Black out material used for the making of tents
Overall, it was a successful and an extremely rewarding venture as we can only hope that our friends in Haiti will soon recover from their enormous losses.
