Merry Christmas and welcome to the 9th Edition of the Bradford Marine E-News. The Christmas season is here, and everyone is getting into the Holiday spirit. With all of the festivities going on in town, I hope you've had time to enjoy some of them. On December 10th, Bradford Marine was happy to participate in the Winterfest Boat Parade. Our entry represented the Marine Industries Association of South Florida and honored our Armed Forces on Bradford Marine Towing's Tug "HERO". What a wet one! Despite all of the rain and standing water, I believe we had one of the best shows in several years. I'm sure that attendance was down this year only because of the weather, but it didn't keep the players away. Most of the people in the industry I spoke with felt very positive. This, along with the good vibe from the Monaco Show in September, is a sign of positive things are happening.
During the show this year, Interlux Yacht Paints, Bradford Marine and Bradford Marine Bahamas offered a Free Bottom Job Raffle at both facilities.
The winner at Bradford Marine was Captain Jay Fortier of the Motor Yacht "Le Bon Joujou", a 116' Lazzara.
The winner of the Free Bottom Raffle at Bradford Marine Bahamas was Kevin Ward of the motor yacht "Emerald, an 83' Ferretti.
Bradford Marine again hosted the Breakfast at Bradford during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. We had a great turnout again this year, and I'd like to thank all of you who attended. I believe we chose the only morning for this event
that it didn't rain. Click here for photos of Breakfast at Bradford.
I had the opportunity in November to visit the Global Superyacht Forum along with the Mets Show at the RAI in Amsterdam. Thanks to Martin Redmayne and his staff from The Superyacht Report for being wonderful hosts. As usual, they put on quite an event. Having the opportunity to visit with thoseattending the 3-day event was outstanding. If you ever have the opportunity to attend either one of these events, I would recommend you doing so. To learn more about the event, please click here.
Bradford would like to thank Mark Houch from Houck Anderson (Attorneys at Law) and S-E-A (Scientific Expert Analysis) for inviting us to the Houck Anderson Third Annual Fishing Tournament in Fort Lauderdale just before the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. I had the pleasure of going on the 64'Viking S/F "BAREFOOT" during the tournament. We caught 7 sailfish and still did not win 1st place. A great time had by all. Click here to see some of the photos of the fishing trip.

Displaying 6 of our listings, Bradford Marine and Bradford Marine Bahamas will be raffling a Free Bottom Paint Job again this year. In addition to the bottom job, we will be giving a Free I Pad to the lucky winners. Please stop by and fill out one of the forms or click here to enter your vessel for the Free Bottom Job & iPad 2™.

An American yacht owner once stated, for when asked "Sir how much will it cost to operate a boat of this size, his response was, "Sir, if you have to ask that question, you can't afford it."
This Yacht owner built four yachts during his life ranging from 240' to 300'. Can you tell me who this was and the name of his Yachts?

The S/S DELPHINE was built for Horace Dodge by the Great Lakes Engineering yard in 1921. Yes, a lot of you got it correct. Thanks for all of your responses. I was impressed not only by how many people answered correctly but also by the number of people who participated. Thanks again for taking the time and please continue to do so. Please see the links below. These are interesting sites to view and read about the yacht.
