Welcome to the Bradford Marine E-News
Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Bradford Marine E-News.
I would like to thank you all for the e-mails I received from the first E-News Letter. We had a great response, and I heard from friends from all over. Please continue responding, and let's stay in touch.

Miami Boat Show
I read this week that the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show on Collins Avenue was a little like the weather, chilly but not stone cold. I actually believe it was a little warmer than that. Everyone seemed to be optimistic. I spoke to several brokers that actually had buyers at the show.

This year, Bradford Marine raffled a Free Bottom Job at the Miami Show. The prize consisted of hauling, pressure cleaning and painting the bottom of the vessel. We had captains, owners and brokers entering their boats for the raffle. The winner was the 130' Westport MUSTANG SALLY. Captain Dale Parker brought MUSTANG SALLY to Bradford Marine on March 24, just after the show for the haul out. Congratulations to Captain Parker and the owner.

New Shipyard Services

The fourth quarter of 2009 proved to be good for Bradford Marine which is a sign that the economy is improving. Bradford Marine continues to reach out with different ways to offer customers more options. In January, 2010, Bradford Marine Ft. Lauderdale and Dania Cut Super Yacht joined forces to work together to service large yachts at Dania Cut's facility. Dania Cut is now able to offer Bradford Marine's full line of services and work force to their clients as well as Bradford Marine Bahamas' hauling capabilities at their Freeport shipyard. Bradford Marine is also working with Pinmar at Dania Cut and Bradford Marine Bahamas in Freeport to better service the larger yachts for their painting needs. It's good to see these companies working together in efforts to increase services in this industry.

It's a natural follow on to what we did in 2009 when Bradford Marine Ft. Lauderdale opened a service facility at Lauderdale Marine Center, and Bradford Marine Bahamas joined forces with Grand Bahamas Shipyard to be able to haul the world's largest yachts in GBSY's large drydock.

Helpful Links

I've noted a couple of links for you that I hope you will find helpful or maybe just of interest:

For those of you visiting the West Coast of the U.S., please visit Mark Drewelow's site C2C linked here http://www.c2conline.net. I believe Mark could be quite helpful if you're visiting that area.

I also heard from some very good friends of mine, Chris & Joe Russell, who have traveled on yachts all over the world making numerous friends everywhere they went. Chris & Joe decided to take on a new venture and moved to Australia to open a Bed & Breakfast. If you're traveling in that part of the world, please keep them in mind and pay them a visit. I have a link here for you to watch and also their e-mail address if you would like more information on their B&B. This is worth a watch: Musavale Lodge small or www.musavalelodge.com.au. Their Email address is info@musavalelodge.com

My Trip to St. Maarten

I flew to St. Maarten in the middle of January and had a very productive trip. St. Maarten, as usual, was very busy and I had the opportunity to visit many yachts and their Captains and crews. There were quite a few yachts from the Mediterranean as well as from the U.S. For those of you I met with, I look forward to seeing you back in Ft. Lauderdale or at Bradford Marine Bahamas in Freeport. Thank you for your time and warm reception while I was in St. Maarten.
